5 Quick Content Ideas for Instagram

Keeping up with the demands of Social Media when you're a small business owner can sometimes feel like a full time job in itself!

You've been told that consistency is key if you want to grow your follower base on Instagram, but that really doesn't help when you're time poor and inspiration is lacking.

That's why I've put together this list of 5 quick content ideas for Instagram to kick start your content calendar and help you on your way.

As you'll see from the list, each idea can be easily adapted to fit any type of business and image wise everything you could need to photograph should be close to hand..simple!

1) Post about Yourself!

People love to follow PEOPLE, not big brands or corporate companies.

Sharing posts about yourself, your background, the reasons you started your business is a brilliant way to build engagement and rapport with your followers while teaching them more about what makes your brand unique.

2) Behind the Scenes

We're a nosy bunch on Instagram and who doesn't love a little nosey at other peoples work places and spaces. The best thing about this post is you can create the content from the comfort of your own desk. All you need is a quick shot or video of your office setup and away you go.

3) Bestselling products or services

Highlighting your bestsellers makes for a really quick and easy post. If you have more than one, you could even show your 'top 5' or separate your products into themes, for example "Our Christmas Bestsellers" or "Our top 5 services to help small businesses".

This is a great way for reminding new and existing followers what you and your business are all about.

4) Share your tools

Whether you use clever or unique tools and equipment to do your job, a specialist piece of software to create amazing designs, or a life saving tool for productivity, people love to learn new tips that can help make their lives easier.

5) Team Intoductions

Ok, so this idea isn't so great if you're a one-man-band (unless you have a team of pets you can throw into the mix!), but if you work with a team you should absolutley be getting them infront of the camera. Not only will followers love to hear about the different roles and personalities within your business, it's a really quick and easy way of making engaging content that helps to fill the calendar.

THANKS for making it to the end of my post! I hope you've come away with a bit of inspiration for creating some quick and easy Instagram posts.
